We meet these birds in many different places. When I was a kid we ate one for Christmas dinner, now a horrifying thought - but we learned our lesson, it's like the recipe for cooking a galah - place in pot one galah and one large stone. Simmer gently until stone is tender. I'd much rather watch them than put them on a plate.

I love the haughty looks they bestow on anyone that crosses their path.
